Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west, is currently in police custody.
TheCable understands that the senator drove to the office of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) in Abuja to submit himself on Tuesday morning.
The senator had earlier said he will make himself available to the police.
Anjuguri Manzah, spokesman of the FCT police command, did not respond to messages sent by TheCable to seek clarification on the lawmaker’s situation.
Security operatives on Monday laid siege to Melaye’s house after he was detained at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and prevented from travelling abroad.
The police had earlier declared him wanted over allegations of supplying arms to crime suspects.
