BON Awards gets endowment from Elumelu, Oba Elegushi



Tony Elumelu, chairman of Heirs Holdings, and Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Lagos monarch, have endowed some categories of the Best of Nollywood Awards.
According to a statement by Seunmanuel Faleye, media and publicity director for the award, five categories have received endowment.
Elumelu is said to have endowed the ‘Movie of the Year Category’ thus it would be named ‘Tony Elumelu Best Movie Of The Year’.

Elumelu, according to a statement signed by the Executive Producer of BON Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, has endowed ‘Movie Of The Year’ category; consequently, the category would be named
“In the same development, Lagos Youngest King, and highly revered royal father, Oba Elegushi, has also endowed ‘The Best Actor Of The Year (Yoruba)’, as a result, the category will now be customized ‘Oba Elegushi Best Actor of the year’,” the statement quoted Seun Oloketuyi, executive producer of the awards, as saying.
“The category that rewards the best movie with a social message has been endowed by the amiable first lady of Kwara State, Deaconess. Ahmed; that category will be announced as; “Omolewa Ahmed Movie With Best Social Message’.
Former Ogun state commissioner for sports, Bukola Olopade, also has thrown his weight behind the movie with the best editing. The category will be announced as ‘Yetunde Olopade Movie with Best Editing’, in honor of his wife.
Rotimi Ajanaku, businessman and socialite, has also endowed the ‘Best Actress In a Movie’.
The 2018 edition of the awards is the 10th year of the award’s existence.
The award ceremony, which will hold on December 8 in Ibadan, will be hosted by Abiola Ajimobi, Oyo state governor.
