‘Things Fall Apart’, ‘Americanah’… here’s Barack Obama’s best of 2018 list



‘Things Fall Apart’, a novel by Chinua Achebe was among the books listed by former US president Barack Obama on his ‘Best of 2018 List’.
The former president who published the list on his Facebook page on Friday also listed songs and movies he enjoyed watching.
‘Americanah’, a 2013 novel by Chimamanda Adichie, was the second Nigerian work to make the list.
“As 2018 draws to a close, I’m continuing a favourite tradition of mine and sharing my year-end lists. It gives me a moment to pause and reflect on the year through the books, movies, and music that I found most thought-provoking, inspiring, or just plain loved,” he wrote on Facebook.
