AFRICAN FILM AWARDS: Alter Date movie takes home three awards

Having picked the interest of movie lovers, a story of love and friendship gets honored three times.

LONDON — The Alter Date movie has won three awards at the 22nd African Film Awards held on Saturday 3, November at Straford Town Hall, the Broadway.

The movie which was nominated for six categories won three awards namely: Best Director for the year - Marc Adebesin; Best Actress for the year - Lilian Esoro; and Best Actor for the year - Bolanle Ninalowo.

Yemisi Banjoko Ogunyemi, Executive Producer of the movie received the awards.

Speaking with Godfreytimes, Yemisi Banjoko said she feel so blessed and honored.

"I feel so blessed and so honored. I give thanks and praises to almighty God".

Her first film Compatible that premiered just under four months ago also won one award—Best Actress in a Supporting Role - Judy Akuta.
