The real name of Satan is Lucifer. God gave him power and He did not take it back from him when he threw him out of heaven. The biggest lie of all is to be told Satan has no power. The power we have over Lucifer is the power we draw from the Holy Spirit. Satan is contending with God over our lives. He knows God’s plan for man is in heaven and not on earth, which is why he fights tooth and nail for man to offend God.
James 4:7 says “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”, You are the one that will wake up to resist the devil yourself and he will flee from you. Until you resist Satan you are a candidate of Satan.
SEVEN EASIEST WAYS TO RESIST SATAN
Be ruled by the word of God
Your life must be ruled by the word of God in every decision you want to make or every action you want to take, make sure it concurs with the rule and polity of the word of God. Live in obedience to all it says. Psalm 23:1 says “The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want”, before you say: The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want, have you submitted yourself under the authority of the Shepherd? If you do not submit yourself under the anointing of your master, the anointing will not work on you. It is normal to fast and pray but very paramount to submit yourself first to the obedience of the word of God. There’s no 99% loyalty. Ephesians 6:11 says “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil”, the word of God is complete! Put all in practice so that you can stand in the day of test.
Beware of grieving the Holy Spirit
You are expected to be holy. Why do you think the Spirit of God will dwell in you when your ways are different from the ways of God? When you live a life that does not glorify God you grieve the Holy Spirit and when you grieve the Holy Spirit, He departs from you. When you begin to seek mercy He is not there. When you take the Holy Spirit for granted because you have received healing, He will still leave you. Satan is fighting to ensure we cut short of God’s glory upon our lives. It is the Holy Spirit that gives Christians the ability to discern Satan’s temptation and to see his cunning attitude. Without the Holy Spirit no man can contend with Satan. Satan is addicted to destroying man and the only one that can help you to destroy or overcome him, is the Holy Spirit. You can be fasting, praying and Satan is still using you, if you don’t hold on to the Holy Spirit—the attitude of a man is the fruit of the Holy Spirit—children of God are expected to show mercy anywhere they go—you are not supposed to be found causing problem anywhere. A word for a word, when you pray a prayer that is not biblical heaven will not stamp it—you cannot be casting out demons when you are with demons—you must define your relationship with Satan. You cannot be fighting the powers in your father’s house when you live the same lifestyle with the powers in your father’s house; you are making the deliverance more difficult.

If you want to acquire anything you need in this world, wisdom is atop waiting at the high hill saying come to me let me use you. Without wisdom you cannot understand anything. A man without wisdom is a fool. One with wisdom speaks excellent things, no blemish. If God Himself seek wisdom before creating the earth, who are you? A great difference between knowledge and wisdom: a man can have that knowledge but without wisdom he cannot excel. I know the bible from Generations to Revelations, yes? How many children have you rescued from the world? Have you depopulated hell with it? Have you impacted lives with the word of God in your life? Satan could not prevail over Jesus because Jesus Himself is wisdom. Jesus is the wisdom of God. When you seek Jesus you already seek wisdom.
Labour to be filled with the Spirit of God
This is mandatory to every child of God. When you receive the Holy Spirit, He teaches you things about your business, He teaches you things about your marriage. The first thing that comes when you receive the Holy Spirit is the peace of the Lord. A man with the Holy Spirit receives peace and becomes humble. Peter was in the prison and to be condemned the following morning but when the Angel of God came to the prison what was he doing? He was sleeping. That is the peace of the Lord. If you have not received peace then you have not receive the Holy Spirit—there must be peace and calmness in you. The day a man begins to see problem, he begins to experience problem. See solution inside your problem. People are way older than their age because of the kind of word they are hearing…leading them to depression…depression leads to failure…failure to disappointment. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of light, power, and authority. The Spirit light shines bright against the darkness of sin and God’s power is sufficient to overcome all evil and temptations. Begin to hunger for the Holy Spirit from this day. 1 John 4:1 says “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out onto the world”, if you don’t have the Holy Spirit you cannot test a fake prophet. We are falling into the hands of false prophets these days because we are not filled with the Holy Spirit. The easiest ways to test a prophet is his attitude and his ways.
Humble yourself
If you don’t want Satan to use you or fall prey to him, humble yourself. A humble man would rather lie in dust than rise to the prominence of sin. A humble man will rather stay in one room than to live in a duplex of sin. A man with ego will rather follow Satan. Any man that has ego and pride cannot resist Satan. Be careful in that height of greatness else you may fall from it. Jesus humbled Himself to wash the feet of His disciples…then who are you that you cannot humble yourself?
Commune with God in all season
You must have an odd time with God. Don’t allow Satan to take your attention away from your creator. How can you be tired of God? The bible is what determines whether you will make heaven or not—without it you can never make heaven. We renew our relationship with God every cross over night but how many of us take it up for six months let alone holding to the renewal? A man of indecision falls easily to the trap of Satan. Give your time to God. Commune with Him always.

Because Lucifer has collected power from God and God is waiting for you so he can give you higher power…then if you decide to use your carnal power to on Lucifer? Ooh dear. If you are not called, you are not called. If you don’t have the power, you don’t have the power. It is not your duty, is not your duty. Don’t take the position you cannot work. Wait for your time.
